Well, I have tried both, and must admit that the enet library was so much easier to load than the overdrive was for the first time. My only complaint was that I had to try 5 or 6 titles before I found one available. I don’t know if there is a browsing screen where you can just wander and look at titles, but I didn’t find it and that would have made it easier for me. Overdrive does have a new titles area and I often look there first.
I would certainly use either one of these options, and once you have gone on initially, then it really is very simple in both formats.

Well I have set up an account with de.li.cious, and have tagged several sites that I like to check out. One of them being my daughters blog that focus’ on my grandson. She origianlly set it up so that her Ottawa relatives could check out the new baby, but it has become a huge hit with all of us. Any time I feel a little run down, I simply check out a couple of photos of Liam and I feel much happier.
I have also set up a Library Thing account. I’m not as sure about this one. I like the idea of keeping track of the books I’ve read, but I’m not sure about allowing other people to see what I read and how I rate it.
I do however see a huge advantage for someone like me who does class visits. Once I’ve put the kids books that I’ve read into Library Thing, it will be very easy to look them up and refresh my memory. I won’t have to go searching through stacks of papers for the synopsis that I wrote a year ago about a book that’s become a little fuzzy with memory. This is probably going to be the main way in which I use this account.

I read through the information of wikis and found it very interesting. It would be an interesting way of setting up staff meeting agendas. Everyone would have a chance to add their concerns and problems.
This would also be useful for the childrens staff to use in planning for Summer Reading Club.

week 15
Well, I did look at some of the virtual games that were available, and they looked very interesting. Battleground Europe and City of Heroes were the ones I checked out. I really don’t think this is anything that I would ever play, but I can see how it could be used to encourage teens into the Library.
I know gaming is a huge thing with teens these days and we should all have some knowledge about how these games work. I could also at some point in the future see the library using the virtual world to give tours to people from their own home.
I myself, found that I was more interested in the sudoku game online.
